Full-Time Police Officer – City of Pequot Lakes, MN

The City of Pequot Lakes Police Department is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for a full-time Police Officer position. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to public service and community engagement.

Application Review Date: April 29, 2026 (and weekly thereafter)

Position Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold an AA or AAS degree from an accredited institution
• Be MN POST licensed or eligible at time of application
• Possess a valid Minnesota Driver’s License

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage: $30.98 – $40.27 (2026)
• Health insurance (two plans; one fully paid by City)

• Take-home patrol vehicle (30-mile residency requirement)

Work Schedule

• 11- and 12-hour shifts
• 7 working days every two weeks
• Every other weekend off

• Lateral transfers encouraged (salary based on experience and budget)
• Special assignments:
• School Resource Officer (preferred)
• Drone Pilot
