The Pequot Lakes Street Department is responsible for maintaining City streets and rights-of-way to help provide safe and reliable travel throughout our community year-round.
From winter snow and ice control to summer street maintenance, our Public Works team works throughout the seasons to keep Pequot Lakes moving.
Street Maintenance
The Street Department's responsibilities include:
- Street maintenance and repairs
- Snow plowing and ice control
- Street sweeping
- Pothole repair and patching
- Gravel road maintenance and grading
- Culvert and drainage maintenance
- Boulevard and right-of-way maintenance
- Street signs and other traffic-control signage
- Seasonal maintenance and cleanup
Snow & Ice Control
Minnesota winters keep our Street Department busy! During snow and ice events, crews work to keep City streets safe and passable while prioritizing routes based on conditions and community needs.
Residents can help our crews work safely and efficiently by keeping vehicles, garbage containers, trailers, and other items out of City streets and rights-of-way during snow removal operations.

City, County or State Road?
Not every road within Pequot Lakes is maintained by the City. Some roadways are maintained by Crow Wing County or the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
